The inspectors will be concentrating their inspections on how principal contractors are managing

- good order on site; and
- the risks associated with exposure to asbestos
Strong enforcement action will be taken against companies with poor health & safety standards. Previous initiatives have resulted in enforcement action being taken against one in three of the sites visited.
Tower scaffold and ladders are heavily used in the refurbishment of properties and are the major culprits of falls from height in this industry. SG World can help you to ensure that your tower scaffold and ladders are safe to use.
Tower Scaffold Inspections
Safe-tower our tower scaffold inspection system clearly identifies if scaffold towers are safe for use and keeps a chronological record of all inspections undertaken as well as helping you to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. The scaffold tower inspector simply works through the duplicate checklist at the required inspection interval ( before the first use, after substantial alteration, after any event likely to have affected its stability and at regular intervals not exceeding 7 days) and by indicating a cross or tick in the appropriate box can determine the scaffold’s safety status.
